I'm a mad scientist at heart, a tinkerer, constantly tweaking and changing things hoping to make them just a bit better the next time. I'm the same way in the kitchen. But the better I get at cooking, the more I realize that there are some things that you just don't mess around with. Deviled eggs are one of those things. Why do they disappear so quickly at family functions? Because there are a ton of people who love deviled eggs! Nothing fancy, nothing exotic, just plain old deviled eggs. It's hard to fight the urge to throw in a different spice, or mix in a dab of this or that... but you don't mess around with deviled eggs. The last thing you want is for someone to say, "OOO DEVILED EGGS! oh...umm...what's in these?"
